Bio….
Phyllis Mckenna is an Odawa/Ojibwe/Celtic kwe (woman) who is a guiding light to all that have been inspired by her remarkable resilience. A proud member of the M’Chigeeng Anishinaabek Nation she grew up steeped in the rich traditions and spiritual wisdom of her ancestors. Her Nokomis (grandmother) and great-Nokomis were revered community healers. They ignited Phyllis’ passion for healing and connection to the unseen realms. As she navigates life’s challenges, Phyllis realized her purpose: to empower others to become better versions of themselves through traditional knowledge, sharing personal story and holistic practices. Phyllis recognized the need for alternative healing/helping modalities. There is little to no First Nations Life Coaches in Canada. Many Indigenous females and 2spirited folks who are in the healing/helping professions, social service workers that may or may not work for Indigenous organizations or are community healer/helper themselves who don’t feel comfortable to access current community services. Life coaching and spiritual mentorship have become a leading alternative to counseling, healing and self-care, rather than western mental health or medical practices. Although, we pride ourselves in and truly believe in the work that we do, people should consult with their health care providers before using any alternative or holistic healing/helping practices. We are coming into an era of spiritual empowerment and awareness of self; finding our soul family and fulfilling our life purpose.
